its the first saturday in may and here in jp it's wake up the earth!
what a great day we had. elias and his friend e came along with me to put an hour of community garden work in. the boys were great, lot's of weeds got pulled. and for the record, for "my" plot in the community garden i have to put in 4h of community garden work. because the two boys were working like pro's i was able and allowed to jot down 3h! yeah, this is perfect, just one more to go until august, when we pass on the little plot. i'm very excited that elias's friend is embracing gardening and he will take on the harvest of all what we plant and sew this spring.
the afternoon was spent at the festival, we love wake up the earth, circus, may pole dancing, lots of music, food of all flavors. the kids wanted fried dough, and i could not say no!!! so we had fried dough believe me or not, i totally steped out of my comfort zone with that one. but we are still alive and happely so!
to take note, i made my first key lime pie this afternoon, it turned out deliciouse. it was dessert, which we took along to visit our friends for dinner. by the way, thank you h&b, it was wonderful. and the kids loved to visit as much as we did!
