we were invited at a's birthday party. as always with a's parties there is a theme, this time "mystic creatures" of course amos was thinking of his favorite mystic creature all week long and decided that a wizard was just his favorite...i guess you can tell that we have been reading and watching a lot of "LOTR" lately. this cape has been a skirt of mine a few years back. the neck is a very nice knitted scarf, which i got once as a birthday present. i loved to wear it, but now it's being loved even more. it has served as a kings cape as well and on many more occaisons it was taken out.
the present for the birthday girl was a book bag. amos' idea and my works. we upcicled two place mats and used some embellishments out of my "wunder"-box. the chicken-fabric which i used for teh shoulder strap is a play on the adventures the two of them go on. a's neighbors have chicken (yes in the city....) and there is a way to climb the fence into the chicken's yard...
